The processing queue appears to be hanging. I cannot cancel any items in the queue.

The software seems to be having issues importing PDFs either from the scanner of straight from a file. Now I have two documents and the queue seems to have hanged.

SOURCE: Installation problems

Did you plug the scanner in before installing the software? Common mistake... Disconnect the scanner, uninstall the software completely, re-boot, open up the Device Manager, Click View-->Show Hidden devices--> Look for any scanner related drivers that are still installed for the scanner (they will moste likely be grayed out since it is unplugged) and uninstall them (Right click-->Uninstall). Re-boot again, install the software, wait for the software install to prompt you to plug in the device. Follow the quick start guide if it came with one. Check the manufacturers web site for updated drivers, software for you model.

SOURCE: HP 2600n can't cancel the last document

SOLUTION!! We have had a 2600n and a 1022n with the same problem as this. Changing the print processor to "RAW" and/or from ZIMFprint to WinPrint did no good in our situation (though I hear it works for Vista clients). We played around with it for several days, researching, testing, trying different methods, and FINALLY - FINALLY! - came across something that worked in both of our situations....

Hopefully, this will work for you as well: On the machine/server where the printer is installed (whether as TCP/IP or otherwise) -- In the printer properties, under the "Ports" tab, you should UNTICK THE BOX for "Enable bidirectional support" -- in other words, you need to disable bidirectional support.

(In case you're wondering, I cannot take credit for this -- I finally found this fix at the following location: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=916989 ) :)

SOURCE: Is kodak digital science 3520DP a sorting scanner

The Kodak 3500 scanner series is probably the best scanner ever made, but NO, it doesn't read anything! Think of it as a digital camera. It only takes pictures. All OCR, ICR, BAR Code, etc. has to be read by software. Your software looks at the images and pull any info that it has been designed to detect off of that image. Some older scanners had built in bar code and patch code reading, but more and more, the software now does it, usually in conjunction with a Kofax card in the PC.

SOURCE: pdf automatically opens, then system just hangs

I think the problem lies in your Comp or the Adobe reader. Reinstall Adobe reader, try a later version. Also run scandisk to check if the OS is okay.
