Error message i have an error message in command view saying: One or more of the target devices (attached to the JBOD ports) were unable to obtain their hard address during the fibre channel acquisition process. any ideas how to solve it?

Is this a new install or upgrade? Check the thumb switch on the JBOD enclosures and make sure they're all set sequentially down the daisy chain. The one closest electrically (not necessarily physically) has to be set to 1 and so on. Make sure the drive and controller firmware are current too... an "armdsp -a " will tell you what they are. If you're in the US, call 800-633-3600 Options 1 > 2 and use "VA disk array on HPUX" as your keyword. They can help you with getting it updated.
