Foot control is fine but wont operate this machine it works on other machine
Are you needing a foot pedal for the machine? or is there another problem with the machine?

These machines need to be seen by a technician who can disassemble the motors and replace the carbon brushes. You should have them serviced at the same time since it doesn't take that much longer to do everything.

Did you connect your machine then press the foot control before you lowered you presser foot? I have a CS6000 and that is what E1 means on my machine. You did not put your model number in so I don't know. You can look in your manual or go online to www.brother-usa.com and look it up for your machine. Try unplugging and plugging it in again, but put your presser foot down then step on your foot pedal.
