Plug your ethernet from your computer into different port on back of router. This happened to me today and I kept troubleshooting. I thought my ethernet cable was bad. So I had extra port and tried it and it worked. Seems one of the ports went bad on us.
With Comcast make sure the you clone the MAC address because they use it as a authentication for your internet connection, MAC clone is done on the router setup page eventhough you're using now a DDWRT firmware and after cloning the MAC address on the router page power cycle modem and router for a minute then power on modem first next the router....

i tryed that didn't work..... the router is a WRT54GS sorry ..... i am going crazy\!!!!!!
tried all that and no luck. I brought it over to my moms house and connected it to her cable modem which is also a dhg535-2 and works great but not on mine. I called comcast tehy told me to call linksys. called linksys they told me to call comcast. any ideasd would be greatly appreciated.
