Reinstalling the disk

I removed my sound card accidently,can i retain it bk if i reinstall my disks the machine came with,hep please i've done everything,i was trying to fix my java .

    i did everything people sugested but ,i hit a a driver site called called drivermagic they installed it for free, in a minute.but i hve more hardware that need fixing.

Ok, try installing the card again carefully, then boot to windows, open the control panel, click on system, then click the hardware tab, on the hardware tab click on device manager, in the device manager you will see icons double-click on 'sound, video and game controllers', you will see all the installed sound components or sound card. If your installation is correct you will see no question mark or exclamation point after the component icon. if in any case, you need to re-install the drivers simply insert the disks, and usually you will be automatically prompted, then follow the step by step instructions on the installation menu:)

If you mean that you removed the software drivers for the sound card, yes you can re-install the drivers if you have the CD disk that contains the driver software. Carefull though, make sure your just loading the driver software for the sound card and not re-insatlling the whole operating system!
