Stretched Image Just got a new monitor and now my images are all stretched sideways. Both monitors are Gateways but they are different shapes. Did I buy the wrong thing? If not, what can I do to correct the problem?

  • MsPrint Oct 12, 2008

Unfortunately that didn't help. On the side of this new monitor there's a menue... When you press it info is displayed on the screen. But there isn't any Select button (+) and no Adjust button (-). Now what??? (Btw, I tried every option with the menu and I can't figure it out.)

Thank you for your help, though!

If I could just find the word "resize" ANYWHERE I'd try it. I'm at a loss here. I will check the cable connection but I have a feeling I'm gonna hafta find a local geek! Thanks so much for your help, k.

The problem is just the monitor settings. To reset the monitor, just press the Select button (+) and Adjust button ( - ) on your monitor at the same time.

Did you try adjusting the settings on the monitor..like resizing it? Also kindly check the cable connected from your monitor to the CPU. Check for broken pins..this will cause problems on the image.
