Driver software attempting to use 8500 as modem via bluetooth over sprint broadband, but need to download driver in order to connect laptop with phone. the phone pairs with the laptop but phone does not receive signal from laptop without driver software. already have setup other phones as modem via bluetooth, but their driver software downloaded.

I solved this problem myself. Thanks for allowing me to post anyway. Nice to have a backup plan. First I had the wrong bluetooth listed it is actually H700 not H710. And to get it in pairing mode you press the call button and hold it while opening the boom and the purple light stays lit then it is ready for your phone to search and find it. Very simple really. Makes a person feel rather stupid when you realize how easy it really is. Thanks again for having a site for dumbies like me.
