This is a hard disk working on a SCSI port ..and you will have to use the port for it ..

If you want to use it on a laptop and you do not have such a port ..try to use an adapter cable ..and install the drivers if it will be asked.

the idea is to jump it to give it a position in configuration for to be recognized..and not to have a similar one in other device ..
