I have looked on the router and their is no eight digit pin. how else can i find this number. i have already gone to the netgear site under my wireless router and their is no option that displays this router pin
Follow this instructions:1. connect via hard wired connection (network cable)2. open your internet explorer or any browser.3. type the numbers 192.168.1.1 on the address bar4. you will be routed to your router's settings, type admin for USERNAME: and admin for PASSWORD.5. look for the basic setup/settings6. look for the wireless settings7. under your SSID comes the WEP or WPA-PSK option8. that is your wi-fi password, then modified it and remember the password you use for you will need to enter it on your pc when you are connecting via wireless connection.you can select ASCII for password. it should be alpha numeric or combination of letters and numbers.9. select saveand apply. then you are good to go.
