E1 ERROR Dishwasher was loaded and I pushed the power on then I sellected power scrub. You could hear a chime and the water turned off. Prior to this, the door did't seem to close properly. I thought that it may be a door latch issue. Any other ideas? Thank you in advance,Mr. Orner

I have a Whirlpool in which the cutlery/silverware basket is in the door or can be attached to the front of the bottom drawer. If I have something tall such as a large spoon or spatula in the basket, it can somewhat obstruct the door from closing properly. Sometimes the spoons and forks can be pushed against the soap dispenser in the door. Watch carefully as the door closes and see if you can determine that maybe something is obstructing the door.
