Water getting in the Ice storage bin and freezing the ice in blocks causing the ice maker to jam and not drop from the despener. I use to have a similiar problem with another refrigeator when the ice tray calcified causing the ice not to drop and the water would flow over the tray. I feel a little roughness in the trays, but not much. Any suggestions on how to fix? The Manual does not give me a solution
The problem is not the door. the ice tray get stuck and will not turn and release the ice. somehow after several cycles it get stuck. the water keeps filling the tray on the cycles, but on top of the frozen ice cubes on the tray, this is why it drains out. they tray has a heater below, i do belive this is the problem, but i have been unable to get the part. will have to replace the all icemaker
Clear the Ice tray by pressing the button under the ice maker. The problem is that the ice is in the first couple of slots is not dumping and the tray tries to fill again and over flows. I pressed the button and cleared the tray of ice (This will tilt the tray and twist it to empty it) that was re-frozen several times without dumping. My ice maker works perfectly after I did the above. I think the problem arises if the door did not close completely. I stopped hanging the dish cloth on the door and on my LG Dish wisher. I hope this helps

I have the same problem with the icemaker. Water is getting in the bin and melting the cubes, which then jams the ice dispenser. Water is also leeking and freezing along the sides of the freezer and on the food. Ice cubes are falling from everywhere.
I've cleaned all the ice out of the bin several times, but it just keeps happening.
It is making ice but the ice isn't dropping but the water keeps coming.
I have the same problem. Water drips into the ice cube storage bin and freezes the ice into blocks so it won't come out of the dispenser. Water also runs down the sides and freezes onto the food. This refer is the biggest piece of **** I have ever seen. LG sux.
same problem here...water is overflowing from the tray into the bin (and down the sides into the food) and creating a block of ice in the bottom, which impedes the motor from turning to get the ice out the door. We just grab the ice from the top and don't use the door for ice. I've taken out the bottom and cleaned it out/melted the ice, but it just does it again and won't work by the next day. It sucks...my hubby wants to replace the part, but I'm not even sure which part in the ice maker to replace!
My Frig has developed the same problem. The ice tray is overfilling and water is leaking down into the freezer compartment freezing and encasing everything in a block of ice. I have shut the ice maker off until it gets serviced. Luckily, I have a home warranty that comes appliances.
I have the same problem and have been trying to clean everything, but like most of us her, the problem keeps on coming back. Has anyone found a working solution? What else can we do besides sitting here waiting for better day?
