I have a chamberlain model 7220 and need the dip switch codes to set in my old universal remote its a 9 toggle trinary chamberlain remote

You don't need codes. I'm not sure what you are trying to do but to program the opener for a remote you need to hold the button down on the remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. The smart/learn button is on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go.
