User guide says: press feature *4, then select a number from 71 thru 92; after entering 71 the readout on the phone does not show the 71; its as if it was never entered and can't get past this point to move further in the setup. any suggestions?
Sounds to me your trying to access your speed dial bins feature 0 then your speed dial will get you to the speed dial bins 71-92 this is your personel spedd dials your phone only 0-70 are system wide speed dials . Feature * 4 is not a feature in norstar systems.

here is the solution: do not use codes 71 thru 92 any longer.
now use codes 276 and up as your speed dial codes
