It could be, you need to check the D-Link's wireless settings and see if MAC address filtering has been enabled. If so then you need to add the IPad2 wireless card MAC address to the list of MAC address in the D-Link's MAC address table.
If MAC address filtering has not been enables then the D-Link's SSID and encryption (WEP or WPA or WPA2) settings need to be entered in the iPad2 wireless settings.
Have a look at the wireless settings in the laptop and notebook, these should be the same and you can apply these settings to the iPad2.

Yes the problem is common. Window is different from Mac OS. At mac u can't viewed some menu and other options. U must shortcut keys to do it. Click the help menu in quark and search it for shortcut keys.

The DI 704 P software is not distributed anymore , as D-Link discontinued the product.
Among 704 P only last version (revision D) supported mac, check here to find out your version.
You can still couple the server to mac using this procedure, give it a try.
If it does not work contact D-Link and ask if you can have copy of control software.
