HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer Logo
Anonymous Posted on Sep 08, 2011

While installing a driver for windows 7 the printers display was showing init and while it was doing this we had a power failure. now the printer display comes up with nothing. I dont get any power light either. when I turn it on it goes thru a self test and I hear gears turning. I was able to print a page using the test button in the back. I feel that it is the formater board because when I plug in the network cable the green light is very dim and it dosen't show any activity. the printer is hp 2600n, also I get nothing on the display

Mean engine test is OK, so no problem with DC controller, reset display cable remain same? replace formatter assm.. Its not related with drivers issue.

I used a USB cable instead of cat 5, I then tried to install the printer driver. I then ran diagnostics software from HP and now I have a green light, The display says " noinfo in rom" I then tried to upgrade the firmware. It seemed to be doing it but nothing changed. I then powered down the printer. once I powered it up agaion it came up in perfect shape. i now can print again......I then put in the cat5 cable and was able to print over the net word...
