I was in a similar situation today luckily i was able to figure out the solution
follow this
1.switch to STANDBY MODE using the power button on the remote or using the SRC button on the player itself
2.Once you are in the standby mode , press the MENU button ( bass button ) on the left hand side top corner for 1 second
3.Use the right control Knob up and down to switch to CLK ADJ mode .
4.Once you are in CLK ADJ mode Hold the right control Knob for a second until the time starts flickering for change
5.Use the right control knob to change the settings , up and down changes the hour and , left and right changes the minutes
6.Press the MENU button ( bass button ) to save and exit
7.ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN STANDBY MODE

Hold down the button on the right side and you will see Disp Sel and it will give you option when you move the button to the left or right then just press it down again.
