How to setup and check your audio system?
What type of sound card do you have? Just play some music and see how it sounds. There are audio tests, but they're all pointless as they do nothing more than play music and frequenices your laptop speakers can't handle. Some ways of testing I suppose would be running 'dxdiag' in the Run prompt from the Start menu, click on the 'Sound' tab and test it...there are some additional options in the Sound Control menu accessed from My Computer.
