Psa p1003
You will need to take it to a tech to look at the diagnostic codes. Anything else based on the limited info you have given would be a complete guess. Common faults are sensors failing.

well if you cant check the fuses and wiring take it to the pro's ok if you think you can start from getting a test light or a meter would be best then look on the fuse box cover to fine the head light fuses then the parking light fuse if they all have power then check the bulbs, then the sockets but more than likely its fuse problem and also check any other wires on the positive post
Citroen 2005 c8 2.0 diesel.
That sounds like fuel pump problem. Check fuel delivery when cold and when war. Replace pump if the delivery is drastically reduced when warm.
Alarm keeps going off key fob wont work
definitely there's a short circuit in your wiring harness, I suggest you to check wiring harness starting from the steering column removing it's covers carefully afterwards you can inspect under the dashboard. Also check the wires starting from battery to the fuses and the main harness which goes inside to the dash board area. Definitely you will get an idea where is the fault.
Automatic gear fault
slipping is clutch ?? why would it be electronics. un less its an auto box. if it auto box can be a lot of things. most common is the breathe hose blocked up. if it runs fine until it gets hot then it can be this. if it is like it all the time it can be the speed sensor not reading the rev speed to change gear. if it is doing it slowly taking time to change gears its is not reading the engine speed or the abs speed sensor you would no if it was this as you would have a jumping speedo speed. to get the best solution you need to have the engine and auto box read.
Removing gearbox
You'd best get a manual. I think Haynes are the best. The answer is far too lengthy for here. In the manual there are lads of diagrams and instructions.

code p0171 refers to system to lean bank 1==causes intake /exhaust leak--AIR system--MAP/MAF sensor--fuel pressure/pump--injectors--HO2s Have a fuel pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check for blocked filter/faulty pump/fuel pressure regulator faultscode p0174 refers to system to lean bank 2 --same causes including hose connection/scode p0420 refers to catalytic converter system -bank 1 efficiency below threshold==causes catalytic converter--wiring--HO23. Check the cat converter is not cracked inside and the oxygen sensor is working.
Citroen C8 depollution system faulty
These motors and some other models with the same system always give problems .Havent done one myself as yet but other mechanics have that i talk too and if this is a diesel which has this system then you remove the particle filter on the exhaust system and make a rear box to fit type job and the sensor you disconnect and solder a resistor of around the 10.000 ohm mark across the sesnor wires to make the computer think all is well .Depends on the year though as to weither this will work satisfactory as a 53 plate sounds misteriously like some sort of secret code to me .Just noticed it says petrol 16v Hmm have to think again here as no idea with this one only ever see a diesel variant but if the cap fits so to speak have a look to see if has got a filtering out exhaust system if not then sell it quick and buy a ford or a VW

Would need a good look myself to determine the problem but without a good look i would advise checking the linkage first .Now 5th and reverse on most cars have a mechanism to move the selector on top of the gearbox now if of this type and reverse is ok then it could be the operating lever inside the gearbox as the 5th gear sits on the outside of the gearbox behind a metal cover and its possible that this operating fork inside has broken or the retaining dowel pin has broke or just fallen out .But as stated i would need a on the job inspection so i would advise you to check the obvious then ask a dealer to have a look ?remember you do not need to drop the gearbox to fix the 5th gear in case they try it on.
Battery charge faulty
ok thats a really little bit of information there in order to make a good assestment. I'll be a bit general but if your issue dont fall into that please respond with these answer..1.) Please describe the situation.2.) how old is the battery ?3.) is it discharging over night ?4.) Did you have the charging system checked and whats the charging voltage ?BATTERY DRAINS or Runs out over night, vehicle runs fine once started..This occurs because of a defective battery. Usually a cell is damaged. To verify this, run the vehicle so it recharges the battery. once you get home, remove the negative pole from the battery. leave it overnight reconnect in the morning. It it starts then there is something in the vehicle draining power. If it doesn't you have a bad battery. If its a sealed battery get it replaced. If its one with the caps pop the caps and make sure it has enough electrolyte, jump the vehicle and look into the cells to see if its bubbling or smoking. If so replace the battery. If there is none, then it just needed electrolyte. There is no power from the Alternator to charge the battery,, VEHICLE DIES WHEN BATTERY DIES..go to a repair shop as soon as possible or if you have the skillets replace the alternator.keep me posted.
